Fannie was the daughter of Burke Hill and Annie Stephens-Hill. She was educated in the Bibb County School System. She was a retired Master Cosmetologist and Nutritionist with Bibb County Nutrition Extension Services. She was a member of Swift Missionary Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia where she sang in the Senior Choir and served on the Usher Board.
She was married to Tommy Collins Sr.

4 Daughters: Beverly Jones(Solomon), Linda Harris, Phyllis Mechelle Collins and Tonja Harden.

Services were held Friday, September 28, 2007 at 2PM in the Sanctuary of Swift Creek Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia.
