He was a 1954 graduate of Caverna High School.
Military:
He served his country honorably and was a United States Army Veteran. He was honorably discharged in 1958.
He retired from Fruit of the Loom in 1996.
He was song leader for many years at Shady Grove Church of Christ.

His parents; his first wife; two brothers: Russell Toohey (his twin) and Jim Toohey; two sisters: Chris Meadows and Aline Isenberg; and one niece: Linda Johnson.
Survivors:
His wife; several nieces, nephews and cousins; his dog: Daisy; and many friends.
