Ethel Isabell Lee, daughter of the late James Straudy Ming and Arie Beatrice Ming was born on July 1, 1915 in Pondtown.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late James Kennard Lee, December 1932. This union was blessed with three children, Constance Phenola, Adolphus Marcellus and Kennard Franklin. Ethel was a devoted wife and mother.
Ethel worked for Vita Food in Chestertown until the plant closed down. She was a devoted employee with great work ethics. She took pride in her work which enabled her to become a lead person on line.
Ethel was also preceded in death by her daughter, Constance Phenola; son, Kennard; brother, Medford Straudy Ming and step-daughter, Ida Mae Clark.
She leaves with precious memories to sustain them until they meet again her devoted son Adolphus Lee, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church (Pondtown) Millington, with a public viewing one hour prior.
Arrangements are by Bennie Smith Funeral Home.
