Graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2 PM in the mausoleum at Pinewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM at the mausoleum. Due to COVID-19, the family requests that all who attend wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
Mrs. Mills, a native of Pitt County, graduated from Chicod High School. She then became employed with FieldCrest Mills, where she worked until she retired. She was also a member of Timothy Christian Church.
Mrs. Mills was preceded in death by her first husband, C.J. Pfeiffer; parents, Ledrew and Lillian James; and brothers, Charles & Robert James.
She is survived by husband, Grover Mills, Jr.; daughter, Debbie Pfeiffer of Winston Salem; sisters, Lois Haddock of Ayden and Christine J. Elks of Richmond, VA; granddaughter, Tracy Taylor of Moravian Falls; and great grandchildren, Chloe Jane Taylor and Gabriel Taylor.
