Mr. Bobby Ray "Wob" Walters, age 68, of Hanover, Indiana entered this life on December 25, 1951 in Madison, Indiana. He was the son of the late James Byrd, Sr. and Wanda Louise Brooks Walters. He was raised in Brooksburg and attended school in Madison. He was first united in marriage to Connie Elaine Wallace in 1971. This union was blessed with sons, Joseph Wayne and Robert Ray. He worked for American Marble and Granite in Indianapolis, Burns Security having worked security at Reliance Electric, and as a nursing assistant at Hanover Health and Rehab. He was Baptized at the North Madison Christian Church and later attended Hanover Baptist Church. Bobby was united in marriage to Lucille Grace Hoard Parks on September 5, 1991 in Carrollton, Kentucky. They made their home in Lexington, Indiana for 24 years. Bobby enjoyed watching IU Basketball and then UK Basketball with Lucille. He was an avid fisherman and had resided the past three years at Hanover. Bobby died on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at 8:30 a.m. at the Hanover Health and Rehab Center in Hanover, Indiana.

Bobby will be missed by his sons, Joseph Wayne Walters, Robert Ray Walters of Madison, Indiana; his daughters, Becky Walters of Madison, Indiana, Mitzi Dawn Keitzman of Florence, Indiana; his step children, Jim Hoard and his wife, Eula of Lexington, Indiana, Johnny Parks and his wife, Brenda of Madison, Indiana, Jack Parks and his wife, Dena of Madison, Indiana, Ray Parks and his wife, Beth of Scottsburg, Indiana, Jerry Parks of Burgin, Kentucky, Joseph Parks and his wife, Della of Carrollton, Kentucky, Rosie Watterson and her husband, Earl of Hanover, Indiana, Susie Parks of Cave City, Kentucky; 14-grandchildren, 7-great grandchildren; 14-step grandchildren, 27-step great grandchildren; his brothers, James Byrd Walters, Jr. and his wife, Diane of Brooksburg, Indiana, John Walters and his wife, Pat, Ed Walters and his wife, Mary Jo of Madison, Indiana; his sister, Peggy Zearing and her husband, Ron of Lexington, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, James Byrd Walters, Sr., died December 19, 1992, his mother, Wanda Louise Brooks Walters, died May 30, 1998, his first wife, Connie Elaine Wallace Crawford, died in 2010, his second wife, Lucille Graves Hoard Parks Walters, died January 13, 2017, his step grandchildren, Jerico Duane Parks and Dustin Lee Parks.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 12, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. by Pastor J.D. Traylor at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre - Hanover Chapel, 278 East Main Street in Hanover, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Indiana.
VISITATION
Friends may visit Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre - Hanover Chapel, 278 East Main Street in Hanover, Indiana.
