Wife of David aLan "Lan" Tait.
Mother of Salome Tait.
Daughter of Diogenes M. Gelito.

Bhabes was born on the Resort Island of Boracay, in Aklan, Philippines. This was before it was well known, when all that lived there were coconut and pineapple farmers.

Bhabes was born in a tiny 7 by 9 foot house called a "nipa hut". This was built in the middle of a pineapple field with no other structure in site. Her mother abandoned her at an early age, there is no official record of her birth. Her father was Diogenes Maming Gelito. Crispina D. Alorro was her step-mother. She had one younger sister, Irene.

She married David aLan "Lan" Tait, a Missouri Hog farmer, on August 19, 1987, in Tondo, Manila. This marriage produced three children, Salome Priscilla Tait, David Alan Tait Jr., and Diogenes Clayton Tait.

Bhabes was a graphics retouch artist and help restore many antique comics, for republication in books, so that many future generations may enjoy them.

She loved our Missouri farm, and our team of horses, Ginger and Pepper. When these two gave birth on the same day, she named the baby horses, Gingerrell (Ginger Ale) and Pepperrell!

The week before she died, she told me on the phone that she would miss our Missouri farm forever. It struck me strange the way she said it, she was just planning a return trip to me (her husband) in the Philippines. Later I would remember what she said, and it brought a happy thought to my mind... She was only two minutes away from our farm when God took her to Heaven. Surely there must be horses in heaven for Bhabes!

She died on Hwy 60 near Hutton Valley, going to the store in Willow Springs, when a out of control truck crossed the road and hit her car head on. Bhabes was waiting for me in Heaven before the wheels stopped spinning.

Save me a place at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb! Bhabes, "I'll meet you when my chores are through."
