BELL, NANCY PARRIGIN, 85, and ROBERT A. "BOB," 79, passed away Friday, December 11, 2008 and Saturday, December 13, 2008, following a motor vehicle accident. They had been married 58 years. Nancy was a graduate of Centre College Class of 1945 and a retired substitute teacher for Jefferson County Public Schools. Robert was retired from Home Supply and after retiring, continued to farm full time, raising American Saddlebred horses, cattle and hay. They were preceded in death by their parents, Dr. Oliver Hazard Perry Parrigin, Mary Akers Parrigin, Edward Eli Bell and Ethel Bartleson Bell; brother, Robert Abel Parrigin; and sisters, Ruth Bell, Mary B. Clay, Katherine White, Opal Duncan and Anna M. Ryce. They are survived by daughters, Nancy Ruth Bell Denton and Dr. Mary Catherine Bell Little (Anthony); a brother, Oliver Hazard Perry Parrigin Jr.; sister, Mary Snow Brandon; grandchildren, Marcus (Dana), Miles (Laura), Travis and Tyler Denton and Tom and Sarah Little; great-grandchildren, Sydny, Mathew Robert, Madison and Jaxson Denton; sister-in- law, Eileen Parrigin; many loving nieces and nephews; and their best friend "PAT," their 13-year- old Australian Shepherd. Visitation will be 3-6:30 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2008, at Middletown Christian Church, concluding with a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Arrangements through Pearson Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Middletown Christian Church, Wayside Christian Mission or 21st Century Parks Floyds Fork Project.
