Ellen Francis Coggin, 78, of Tribbey died Thursday, June 23, at Norman Regional Hospital. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Guardian-Norman Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Council Creek Cemetery. Guardian-Norman Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Mrs. Coggin was born Sept. 2, 1926, in Minco to Jesse and Fannie Pearl (Baker) Calahan. She graduated from Tribbey High School. She married Earnest Coggin. Mr. Coggin died in 1999. Mrs. Coggin was an administrative assistant to the regional manger for State of Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department. She was an avid gardener and loved working crossword puzzles. Mrs. Coggin was preceded in death by her parents; husband Earnest Coggin and many brothers and sisters. Mrs. Coggin is survived by her son Leslie Coggin; daughter Vera Erickson and husband Donald; sisters Kathryn Brown, Helen Hampton and Jean Ventress; grandchildren Nicole Randol and Amanda and Joshua Erickson and great-grandchildren Noah Erickson and Alexia Lima.
