Roger Clyde Ratliff, 50 years of age of Avondale, WV, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 in Pikeville Medical Center. Born January 8, 1967 in Grundy, VA, he was the son of Dana “Ray” Wolford of Princeton, WV and the late Kathie Oma Wolford.

Roger was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed fishing, trading guns and loved the Carolina Panthers. A loving son, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

In addition to his mother Kathie Oma Wolford, he was preceded in death by his sister Michelle Lafon, brother Paul Wolford and uncle Jessie Bartley.

Survivors in addition to his father Dana “Ray” Wolford include his fiancé’ Jessica Dawn Wolford of Avondale, WV; daughter Amanda Richard and husband Justin of Salsbury, NC; step-daughter Selena Wolford of the home; sons Timothy Ratliff of Mount Pleasant, NC, Kristopher Ratliff of the home and step-son Zachary Wolford of the home; sisters Dana Lynn Wolford of Princeton, WV, Melissa Bartley Cabbell and companion Bill of Martinsville, IN; brother Charlie Wolford and wife Honey of Vansant, VA.

He is also survived by his granddaughter Karissa Richard, grandson Dakota Richard, several nieces, nephews, special friends Danny and Diane Muncy, Mickey Keen, friends at Old Castle Pre-Cast and his canine English bulldog-Samson.

Funeral service for Roger Clyde Ratliff will be Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Garland Church of the Living God in Avondale, WV, with Sister Sandy Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Shortridge-Cemetery in Avondale, WV.

Active pallbearers will be Justin Richard, Justin Stinson, Charlie Wolford, Daniel Muncy, Skylar Lafon and Darryl Lafon.

The family will receive friends at the Garland Church of the Living God, Friday, April 21st after 6:00 p.m. with evening service to be held at 7:00 p.m.
