Born on Aug. 25, 1933, in Saint Clair, "Ginny" was the daughter of the late John and Marie (Lescavage) Tarkovich.
Ginny graduated from Pottsville High School in 1951 and the Pottsville Hospital's School of Nursing in 1954, where she earned her registered nurse degree. She dedicated much of her life to the nursing profession, working at Shenandoah Manor Nursing Home for more than 30 years and retiring at the age of 80.
She was a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Shenandoah, for many years and was currently a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah.
She loved going to the Jersey Shore each year and visiting Disney with her family. She also was a lifelong fan of the Phillies and Eagles.
Ginny was a loving wife, mother, nana and great-grandmother, calling her five children, 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren her family.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Lazur, Pottsville; and Virginia "Gina" Lombard and husband, Jim, Shenandoah Heights; three sons, Dr. Joseph Bell and his wife, Karen, Fogelsville; John "Jack" Bell and his wife, Julie, Shenandoah Heights; James "Jim" Bell and his wife, Katherine, Somerdale, N.J.; 12 grandchildren, Alison and Thomas Lazur; Amy Christeleit and her husband, Karl; Sandra Ryan and husband, Kevin; Bernie Skaudis and his wife, Jana; Christopher, Matthew and Laura Bell; twins Megan and Lena Bell; and Charlie and Julianne Bell; six great-grandchildren, Nina, Dominick, Derek, Brendan, Brady and Gianna; one brother, Michael Tarkovich and wife, Christine, North Carolina; nephew and niece, Kevin and Jennifer Tarkovich, North Carolina; additional nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph "Jo-Jo" Bell, in 1998; and one brother, John "Jack" Tarkovich, in 1992.
The family wishes to extend sincere gratitude to Luther Ridge and Shenandoah Senior Living Community for their devotion to Ginny's comfort and care.
A private Mass of Christian Burial at Divine Mercy Church, Shenandoah, with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, pastor, as the celebrant.
Interment in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
