Mr. Carol Waymer Bennett, 74, died late Tuesday (August 13, 2002) at Satilla Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
He was retired shipyard foreman in Jacksonville and a retired farmer. He was a US Army veteran serving in WWII and the Korean Conflict.
He was a native of Ware County where he had resided most of his life. He was the son of the late Carlos Bennett and Mamie Hood Bennett his wife was the late Betty Cribb Bennett.
Survivors include his son Carl W. Bennett wife Missy of Millwood, two grandsons; Josh W. Bennett of Millwood, Clifton D. Bennett of Waycross, two step granddaughters; Dedra Gillis,Debra Bennett both of Millwood, several other close family and friends.
A service is planned for 3:00 pm Friday in the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held in Bennett Cemetery in Millwood.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
