DE LA CRUZ
Our Lord welcomed his newest little angel into his kingdom on Sunday November 30, 2008.

Santino "Sonny" Doroteo De La Cruz lost his battle against Galaciosialidosis, an extremely rare genetic disorder. One of only two cases, his brother being the other, known in San Antonio and probably in Texas. Sonny fought long and hard to cope with this terminal disease which has no known cure. Born premature and suffering a grade IV hemorrhage in his brain Sonny was given a very grim outlook on life and it had been very doubtful that he lived past the first year. However through the help of some very courageous medical staff, support of friends, and most of all through the love of his family Sonny was able to out perform and out live even the most optimistic predictions. In the short time that he spent with us.

Sonny touched so many lives in a way that undoubtedly will leave the deepest impression. Santino is survived by his mom. Ann Marie Dyer, father, Vincente Delacruz, brothers; David Alan, Polo, Vicente, and Maximiliano, grandparents David and Angelina Moreno, grandmother Yolanda M. De La Cruz, Great grandfather Tomas Moreno, aunts and uncles, David and Laura Moreno, Chris and Lea Moreno, Kennth and Christine Moreno, Rosalinda De La Cruz, Robert and Angelica Chappa, Rachel Aguilar, and numerous cousins.

Thank you to all the healthcare nurses who provided love, warmth and healing for our son. Special thank you to Ermelinda De la Garza, Michelle Rindahl, George Juarez and Timothy Nolan.

Sleep my Baby Sleep
Sleep my baby sleep You've had a long and rough battle
You've fought from the first day you arrived
The time has come for you to rest
Sleep my love sleep tight
I remember when you wouldn't go to sleep until you were in my arms
Now another set of arms you'll lie
Sleep my little angel sleep Good-bye
My love for you will never end In my heart your memories will stay
Never forgotten never alone
Don't be afraid
My little one
For now you'll be in the Good Lords hands
Until we meet again
Sleep tight my
baby sleep tight
