Joseph Iehab Hawatmeh, age 12, born in Salt Lake City, Utah passed away on November 3, 2020 alongside his mother in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Joseph was born on February 17, 2008 to Diana and Iehab Hawatmeh in Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended St. John the Baptist elementary and middle school.

Joseph was full of life. He was a devout basketball player and fan, gamer, and big time foodie. Jojo loved spending all his time with his cousins and friends. His giggle was infectious, and he immediately lit up any room he entered with his silly jokes and adorable attitude.

Joseph is survived by his father Iehab, big brother Layth, and big sister Yasmeen.

Diana and Jojo will be unbelievably missed by their families and friends. The mother and son were known to celebrate life and enjoy every moment of it. She was an entrepreneur who began her clothing line Nafas Activewear. Her line meant so much more than just clothes. Her biggest motto in life was to “just breathe” and take every moment of life in stride, and she truly lived by that.

Diana was a radiant, selfless, and faithful member of the community. She loved to dance, entertain, and she would do anything for her family and friends whom she loved wholeheartedly and deeply. Her smile and generosity were known to each who had the absolute pleasure of knowing her. She dedicated her life to spreading positivity and joy and did so with such grace, elegance, and beauty.

Diana is survived by her loving husband Iehab, her sweet son Layth, and her fighter Yasmeen.
