Diana and Joseph "Jojo" Hawatmeh

Diana Reem Sayegh Hawatmeh, born and bred in Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on November 3, 2020 at the age of 39 in an incident that claimed both her and her youngest son Joseph’s life.

Diana was born September 4, 1981 to Farid and Mona Sayegh in Las Vegas, and later met and married her soulmate Lehab Hawatmeh. The two settled down in Sandy, Utah where they started their beautiful family, and had three amazing children Layth, Yasmeen, and Joseph.

She received a bachelor’s degree in business at the University of Phoenix and pursued a career as an educator at St. John the Baptist Elementary and Middle Schools and as a fitness instructor at fitness studios across Salt Lake City and Las Vegas. She was an entrepreneur who began her clothing line Nafas Activewear. Her line meant so much more than just clothes. Her biggest motto in life was to “just breathe” and take every moment of life in stride, and she truly lived by that.

Diana was a radiant, selfless, and faithful member of the community. She loved to dance, entertain, and she would do anything for her family and friends whom she loved wholeheartedly and deeply. Her smile and generosity were known to each who had the absolute pleasure of knowing her. She dedicated her life to spreading positivity and joy and did so with such grace, elegance, and beauty.

Diana is survived by her loving husband Lehab, her sweet son Layth, and her fighter Yasmeen.
