Dolores C. (nee Mehring) Brown, age 95, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020. She was born June 6, 1925 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Alvin and Anna Lucille (nee Steele) Mehring.
Dolores cherished her role as a devoted wife to her late husband, James S. Brown. Together, they raised their children; Claudia (Jim) Lewis, Dorene (Dennis) Lackey, Mark (Karen) Brown, and Richard (Shyvonkia L.) Brown. Dolores often babysat and always adored her grandchildren, Jeff (Misty) Smith, Sandra “Joey” (Josh) Banks, the late Shane Lackey, Clarissa Marcum, Aaron Lackey, Brian Brown, Katy Brown, Jason (Tina) Brown, Kevin (Brenda) Brown, and Dennis (Danielle) Brown; and great grandchildren, Tyler, Taryn, Addison, Gage, Lilly, Chyler, Shelby, Scott, Mason, Madison, Abraham, and Murdock.
All who knew Dolores appreciated her sweet and generous spirit. She was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Madisonville, where she was active in the Ladies’ Guild and hosted many gatherings for the Couple’s Club. For years, she worked in the Dilliard’s (formerly McAlpin’s) Beauty Salon. Dolores and James also enjoyed traveling across many states and attending Big Band concerts.
Visitation will be 10-11 A.M., Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Beck officiating. Facial masks and social distancing will be required for all guests. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
