Rebecca (Becky) Lynn Cunningham (Hanna) passed away in Lincoln on November 5, 2020. Becky was a teacher and taught in Buffalo, SD, Dell Rapids, SD, Pius X High School, and Palmyra Middle and High School. She also worked for Walgreens for over 30 years and Mettler's and Miller and Paine bakeries as a cake decorator.
She graduated in 1976 from Reynolds High School in Greenville, PA, received her Bachelor's from University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and her Master's in Consumer Science in 1992. Becky volunteered at Blessed Sacrament with the Altar Society, she helped many friends, and she was a member of the Northeast Kiwanis Club. Her hobbies included sewing, baking pies, cookies, and cakes; and decorating them for special occasions. She loved doing all the baking with her nieces and nephews. Becky loved outdoors and planting posies, as she called it.
Becky is survived by her husband of 37 years, Donald; siblings Walter Hanna, Doris (David) Stuyvesant, Virginia Folsom, Milford (Lenora) Hanna, Louise Myers, Clayton Dewey (Cynthia Hanna), Tom (Mary Ann) Hanna, Tim (Tammy) Hanna; 18 nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and nephews; and brother in law and spouse Jim (Judy) Cunningham.
She was preceded in death by Janet Parks, Howard Hanna, Bruce, Hanna, and mother in law Lucile Cunningham.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday November 10, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (17th & Lake Street.) Viewing will be on Monday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM with family present from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home. Rosary will be at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials can be directed to Blessed Sacrament School or Palmyra High School.
