He married Frances Ripps and they were the parents of three daughters, Linda Sue, Shirley Ann and Bette Lou Beavers. Linda Sue married James Vance Couch in 1968, Shirley Ann married Michael Machacek in 1980 and Betty Lou married Bernard Langford.
Harold and Frances were divorced. Later, he married Elizabeth Thomas of Port Arthur, Texas and they were the parents of three daughters, Joyce Marie, Robbie Jo, Gloria Jean and one son, Gary Allen Beavers. Joyce Marie married David Nuccio in 1958, Robbie Jo married John Plumber in 1990 and Gloria Jean married John Manzella in 1981. Gary Allen Married Mary Calvillo.
Harold was in the U. S. Merchant Marines during World War II and made six trips across the Atlantic Ocean during his years in service. He enlisted on December 4, 1942 and was honorably discharged as an Ensign in October of 1945.
After he and Elizabeth were divorced, Harold was self-employed for several years and lived in Jourdanton, Texas. Harold died on May 30, 2005 and was cremated after his Memorial service at the Hurley Funeral Home in Jourdanton. His remains will be buried in the coffin of his son, Gary, when he dies.
