FALKNER - Wilma Lafaya "Faye" Ayers, 89, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at the Tippah County Nursing Home. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a retired factory supervisor.
Services at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lyndle Davis and Bro. Randy Hamilton officiating. Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Geneva Lewis of Tiplersville and Colleen Jackson of Falkner; one son, Billy Hugh Ayers (Linda) of Falkner; four sisters, Ruth Sexton of Byhalia, Sara McClain of Fresno, Calif., Sue Ramer of Blue Mountain and Martha Allred of Poolville; one brother, Horace Ayers of Southaven; five grandchildren, Pam Bates (Rickey) of New Albany, Penny Robertson (Butch) and Lea Wommack, both of Falkner, Polly Hall (Dale) of Ripley, and Brad Ayers (Melissa) of Hickory Flat; 11 great-grandchildren, Jonathan Bates, Justin Bates, Jessica Meeks, Jenna Mauney, Jake Hodum, C. J. Robertson, Rece Wommack, Cole Robertson, Kelly Hall, Steven Hall and Cade Ayers; two great-great-grandchildren, Jayla Meeks and Elijah Mauney; two sisters-in-law, Vin Ayers and Billie Ayers; and a special lifetime friend, Ruby Crum.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Ayers; her parents, Jeff and Eliza Hopper; and three brothers, Autry, R.D. and Troy Ayers.
Pallbearers will be Brad Ayers, Cade Ayers, Jonathan Bates, Justin Bates, Cole Robertson, Steven Hall, Jake Hodum and Rece Wommack.
