Sally Stacey Brewer passed away at home on Thursday, July 17, 2003. Sally was the only child of George and Thelma Stacey.

Sally was born on March 4, 1939 at the Nix Hospital, she was a graduate of Sam Houston High School. Sally went to work for Wayne Bull Auto Parts and later worked at the Texas Air National Guard. She married Bill Brewer on December 31, 1959. Sally and Bill were not blessed with children, Sally always had Toy Poodles that she thought were her children, and two of them will accompany her to the next life.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents, George and Thelma Stacey. She is survived by her husband of 43 years; also, Bill's mother, Mrs. Ruby Bames; two sisters, a brother, and their spouses and children.

All through their married life, Sally and Bill were a team. It started with city softball, Bill would play, Sally would work. Then on to trail riding, Bill would ride, Sally would pull trailers from one camp to another. Then Golf, Bill would play, Sally would plan the parties, serve and then clean up, then the Alzafar Shrine, Sally took to the Directors Staff and the Shrine Circus like a duck to water. She would help plan, then serve, cook, clean, work the bar and whatever else needed to be done, she would do. Sally was extremely talented making posters, organizing, planning parties, meetings, and luncheons. She suffered a stroke in 1994, that kind of slowed her down in body but not in mind. The one good thing to come out of this was that God sent Toni Ramos to be with us, without Toni to help with Sally we could not have made it. Toni has her own star in the Heavens. The family request donations to your favorite charity or Shrine Crippled/Burned Children Hospital in lieu of flowers.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 20, 2003 from 2:00 - 5:00 P.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. Funeral Services will be at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, July 21, 2003 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park South. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Howard Glen Hoffman. Mission Park Funeral Chapels North.
