Jerry L. Linton, 78, of Logan, Ohio, passed away May 11, 2017 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, Logan, Ohio.
Jerry was born Aug. 28, 1938 in Nelsonville, Ohio, to Carlos and Phyllis Linton.
He graduated in 1958 from Carbon Hill High School; attended Haydenville United Methodist Church; and a member of the Logan Eagles #4168.
Surviving are his wife, Ellen Sue Linton; daughters, Brenda (Clarence) Wright of Logan, and Michelle Cupp of Logan; grandchildren, Matthew Mathias, Andrew Mathias, Brandon Cupp, Staci Cupp, Skye Cupp, and Haleigh Mathias; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Dan (Kay) Linton of Nelsonville, John Linton of Logan, and Phil (Betty) Linton of Adelphia; and sisters, Ruth Cummans of Lancaster, Mary (Ray) Volmer of Logan, and Brenda Linton of Logan.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bob Linton; and sisters, Sue Malone, Karen Davis, Nancy Linton, Jeanie Linton and Lois Linton.
There will be no services.
