Jean-Augustin L'Jeune was born in about 1665. He is the son of Pierre Comeau and Rose Bayon. He married Catherine Babin in about 1686, at the age of 14. They are the parents of at least the following (all birth years are estimates, except the last three, and the first child has an estimated death year):
1) Marie (1687-1756) md Francois Brault
2) Jeanne-Francoise (1695-1763) md Joseph Boudreau
3) Marie-Marguerite (1696-1779) md Jean-Baptiste Landry
4) Madeleine (1698-1783) md Pierre Saulnier

According to Stephen A. White's "Ajouts et corrections" to his "Dictionnaire généalogique des familles acadiennes, Additions and Corrections", pg 58 (sept 2003), "it must be believed" that Jean Comeau and his wife died between the departure from l'Acadie and the end of the smallpox epidemic at Bristol, England.

They had been living in the village of Comeau in the parish of Rivière-aux-Canards in the Mines Basin, prior to the deportation.
