According to Stephen A. White's "Ajouts et corrections" to his "Dictionnaire généalogique des familles acadiennes, Additions and Corrections", pg 58 (sept 2003), "it must be believed" that Jean Comeau and his wife died between the departure from l'Acadie and the end of the smallpox epidemic at Bristol, England.
They had been living in the village of Comeau in the parish of Rivière-aux-Canards in the Mines Basin, prior to the deportation.
