Gary Lee Newman, age 73, husband of 43 years to Nola Moffett Newman passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born September 2, 1947 in Richmond, KY to the late Hobert and Ada Sebastian Newman. Gary was retired from I.B.M in Lexington and was an Army Veteran serving 6 years in the Army Reserves. He was a member of the Devotion Lodge #160 F & AM, enjoyed playing golf, bowling, ocean cruises, and was an avid U.K. Wildcats fan. He loved his family and spending time with them.
Other than his wife Nola, Gary is survived by his children Sherry Ann Adams and her husband Michael of Berea, KY, Teresa Lynn King of Berea, KY, Philip Newman of Richmond, KY, Nicole Wilson and her husband James of Berea, KY, three grandchildren, Tyler Scott Kirby, Ashlee Ann Adams, and Austin Adams.
Other than his wife Nola, Gary is survived by his children Sherry Ann Adams and her husband Michael of Berea, KY, Teresa Lynn King of Berea, KY, Philip Newman of Richmond, KY, Nicole Wilson and her husband James of Berea, KY, three grandchildren, Tyler Scott Kirby, Ashlee Ann Adams, and Austin Adams.
