Julie Annette Jones went to be with Jesus on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at MHHS in Morristown. She was born on December 7, 1968. Julie was an LPN of 17 years and spent most of her career at Jefferson Family Physicians. She had a great love for her puppies, Bella and Copper. She absolutely loved spending time with her entire family. She fought a long battle with kidney failure and spent the last year doing dialysis at Davita Center in Morristown. Preceding her in death was her son, Riley W. Free; father, Freddy B. Murdock; nephew, Ricky L. Stroud; and niece, Riley G. Murdock, all of Whitesburg. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, James Jones of Whitesburg; daughters, Jessica (Coleman) Gunter of Bulls Gap, Shelby Jones of Whitesburg; grandchildren, Kaden, Alex, and Oakley Gunter, Jerzie Munsey of Bulls Gap; mother, Myra Murdock; brother, Richard (Donna) Murdock; sister, Evelyn (Rick) Stroud of Whitesburg; sister-in-law, Tina Jones of Rogersville; nieces, Kellie (Jason) Cobb, Michelle Smith; nephews, Rusty (Megan) Murdock, Daniel Cupp, Michael Murdock and AJ Jones; great-nieces, Emmalynn Cobb, Kenley Murdock, Alayla Murdock, Addison Cupp, Savannah Smith; and great-nephews, Cael and Ricky Cobb and Hunter Smith. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Stubblefield Funeral Home from 12:00-6:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held in Hamblen Memory Gardens at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2020 with Rev. Travis Porterfield officiating. The family would like to send a special thank you to the nurses and healthcare providers at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System for all the care and love they showed Julie.
