Jessie is survived by his wife, Judy, of which he enjoyed 61 years of marriage with, his daughter Kimberly Gaines and a son-in-law Kenneth Gaines, a sister, three grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Jessie served in the United States Air Force and later retired from Dayco Manufacturing. Jessie enjoyed going to the late model dirt car races. He also loved gardening and landscaping. He was a charter member of Charity Baptist Church of Springfield, Missouri.
Interment in Lindsey Chapel Cemetery in Republic, Missouri
