Christy Joe Brooks was born March 13, 1972 in Gibson County, TN to the union of Margaret Marie Pearson and Earl Sam Pearson.
She received her education at Milan High School. She received her degree in Criminal Justice at Dyersburg State. She accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Zion until it closed and then she attended Elevated Word Church in Humboldt, TN.
On March 23, 1991, Christy was united in Holy Matrimony to Bobby Joe Brooks and to their union three children, Jaquivious Peoples, Triston Peoples and the late Kasha Brooks were born. She was a resident of Milan, TN. She was a faithful servant. She loved serving God. Christy was a loving and concerned wife, sister, mother, aunt and grandmother. During the years of her illness, she continued to inspire others through words of encouragement. She enjoyed singing and listening to songs of praise and having her daily devotional reading.
Christy Joe Brooks peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Sam Pearson, daughter, Kasha Brooks, Robert Pearson, Diana Gray, Tammy Pearson.
She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Margaret Marie Pearson; her mother, Bobby Joe Brooks; her children, Jaquivous Peoples (Violet Champion) and Tristen Peoples (Laisha West). She also leaves behind Hennicetta Damper (Roosevelt Damper), Charles Pearson (Linda Pearson) and Cathy Brooks (David Brooks), 10 grandchildren that she loved dearly, and a host of nieces and nephews.
