Inscription on headstone is difficult to read. This grave is evidently reported in Dolores Autry's Historic Linwood Cemetery book, edited by Dowd and others, volume II, on page 14 as "1 adult headstone (she apparently did not see or could not read the inscription, which is on the west face of the upright headstone).

Apparently this child's parents on the 1860 census of Militia District 685 (Talbotton District), served by the Centre, GA, post office, Talbot County, Georgia, dwelling 405, household 405 (all Straus, all born in Bavaria, Germany): Lazarus, male age 50, Merchant, no real estate but personal estate valued at $15,000 (in addition, L. Straus & Company, assets valued at $11,000). Sarah, female age 36. Isidor, male age 15, Clerk. Hermina, female age 13. Nathan, male age 12. Oscar, male age 8. Also, Julius Kaughman, male age 37 born in Baden, Germany, Merchant, personal estate valued at $100. Emma Kaughman, female age 18, born in Bavaria, Germany. And Jacob Straud, male age 17, born in Bavaria, Germany, Peddler.

This family reportedly went to Columbus, GA, after 1860 (daughter Herminia married there on on November 18, 1863, to Lazarus Kohns), and had removed to New York by 1870 (two of the Kohns infants died, reportedly in NY, on July 30, 1868 and December 28, 1869). Lazarus became prominent in the R. H. Macy Company, which sons Nathan and Oscar later helped operate.
