Lee Ann McFadden passed away peacefully at Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Sunday September 2, 2018 in Stratford, CT after complications with her health. She was 81 years old. Ms. McFadden was born on May 8, 1937 in Sumter, SC to her late parents Sheba Anderson and Leo Fullard.
She was a long-time resident of Bridgeport, CT and a Mother and member of her long-time place of worship, Shiloh Baptist Church located at 477 Broad Street, Bridgeport, CT.
Ms. McFadden was a vibrant soul who lived life according to her own terms. During her lifetime, she was a home health aide and was very active in the community. She loved to cook, enjoyed a good laugh, and never beat around the bush.
Ms. McFadden is survived by her 2 sons and daughter-in-law; Jesse and Kathleen Fullard of Bridgeport, CT and Odell Linton of Sumter, SC; 3 brothers, James Brown of South Carolina, Joseph Brown of New Jersey, and Willie Anderson of Philadelphia, PA; 2 grandchildren Khalilah Fullard of Manchester, CT and Andrew Nelson of Portsmouth, VA; 1 great-grandchild Sadie Nelson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her husband Sam McFadden and her sisters Ethel Lee Williams and Evelyn Byrd.
Ms. McFadden will be placed to rest in a private ceremony. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, September 8th 2018, 1pm at Shiloh Baptist Church, Bridgeport, CT. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ms. McFadden’s life.
