Bill was born December 19, 1931 in Maysville, Oklahoma to David Luther and Vernie Ellen (Bailey) Ince. He grew up with his many siblings in Lindsay. On January 10, 1951, Bill married the love of his life, Ada Marie Riley. They had two children, Billy Steven Ince and Dawn Marie Bruce. Bill served as Staff Sergeant in the US Army and fought in the Korean Conflict. He loved teaching groups of boys in church and as a Boy Scout leader. He was a father to many and wouldn't hesitate to help a friend or family member in need. Bill loved the Lord and studied the Bible daily. He loved to discuss it with everyone. In his almost 89 years, Bill enjoyed time with family and friends. Not many people could be at his house very long without playing a game of dominoes, cards, or horseshoes. If you grew up around him, you most likely heard him mention wooden nickels or cackleberrys. Bill loved to make and show off his "hooey sticks", laughing at the baffled looks he received.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, David and Vernie Ince; and his son, Billy Steven Ince. He is survived by his wife, Ada Marie Ince; his daughter, Dawn Marie Bruce and husband Mylon; his 8 grandchildren, Rebeckah Teel, Misty Ince, Michael Schaffer, Richard Schaffer, Ashley Schaffer, Marissa Vandenham and husband, Christian, Donovan Bruce, Rebecca Caldwell and husband, Tim; his 14 great-grandchildren; his brother; his 3 sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Though Bill will be missed, he left us with many wonderful memories to treasure.
