She was born Jan. 1, 1897, in Carroll County to George and Kate Haynes Trawin. On Jan. 16, 1918, she was married to Carl Disinger, who preceded her in death in 1926. She was married in 1932 to Hansel M. McHardie. He preceded her in death in 1979.
She was a member of the Delphi United Methodist Church and the church's Truth Circle.
Surviving are three daughters, Opal McKinley, Rt. 1, Delphi, IN, Ruth Tatman, Flora, IN and Marjorie Metzger. Rt. 1, Rossville, IN, two step-daughters, Dorothy Jones, Rockfield, IN and Margaret Lowe, Jenson Beach, FL, one sister, Edna Brookshire, Portland, OR, 12 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. Two sisters, one brother and two grandchildren preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Ashley officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
