Ronald “Hogan” Hartman, 68 of Forrest, died at 2:15pm, Monday, November 2, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family.
A private family funeral will take place with burial in Forrest Twp. Cemetery. A public visitation will be held from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to OSF Hospice.
Ronald was born in March of 1952 in Fairbury, a son of Warren Edward and Mabel Winterland Hartman. His parents and one granddaughter, Rayana Hebert preceded him in death.
He married Caroline O’Dell on August 2, 1975 in Forrest. She survives. Other survivors include his children, Tami Leigh, Ronda Hartman, Colene (Ed) Smith and Warren (Kimberly) Hartman; nine grandchildren and three sisters, Linda (Neil) Schmidgall, Ann Kachelmuss and Nora (Mike) Langan.
He graduated from Forrest-Strawn-Wing Class of 1970. Hogan loved trucking and working around agriculture. He was employed by Trainor Grain & Supply for 12 years before his passing. He was a lifelong Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed the Fairbury races.
The family would like to extend a thank you to OSF Hospice in the wonderful care they provided their husband and father during this difficult time.
The family would like to invite friends and family to a meal and a time of sharing at Ethel’s Lodge in Forrest at 2:00 pm following the graveside service.
