Clarence B. Ellis was born February 7, 1931 on Tater Hill in Rosie, Arkansas and passed away on November 1, 2020 in Searcy Arkansas.

Clarence married the love of his life, Imogene Sexton, on November 16, 1948 and celebrated 71 years of marriage before her passing on December 16, 2019.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents John and Ethel (Vaughn) Ellis, brother Ernest Franklin Ellis, sister-in-law Janice Ellis, brother Clyde Roy Ellis, and sisters Flossie Jane Irby and Rachie Rose Wandersee.

He is survived by his son John Eills, his grandchildren Kimberly Mayberry and her husband Jim, Bobby Ellis and his wife Deborah, his sisters-in-law Joann Caldwell, Joyce Ellis, Pat Imbierowicz and her husband Jerry, and Nelda Sexton, and his brother-in-law Ben Weatherford and his wife Angela.

His great-grandchildren Shelly Penny and her husband Tim, Heather Barotie and her husband Steven and Natasha Noll and her husband Zack. His great-great-grandchildren Mason Penny, Jazmine Barotie and Tinley Noll.

His daughter Linda Nunley and her husband William, his granddaughters Gina Gladden and her husband Dave, Stacy Blassingame and her husband Steve, and Amy Nelson and her husband Phillip.

His great-grandchildren Charity Nelson, Alysa Nelson, Chance Nelson, Isaac Blassingame, Dylan Blassingame and Zavier (Gladden) Walker.

Clarence was a quiet man loved by so many, with a dry sense of humor and always a helping hand for anyone in need. He retired from Stupp Brothers Bridge & Iron Company (Lemay, Missouri) with 30+ years as an overhead crane operator with a perfect safety record. He was a member and deacon of the McJester Baptist Church. Prior to that he was a member and a deacon of Starling Road Baptist Church in Arnold, Missouri. Clarence was an avid outdoors man, who loved camping, hunting and fishing and later in life sitting on his deck watching for deer. Many of us have wonderful memories of joining Clarence and Imogene camping at Greer's Ferry Lake.

Clarence was a loving caring husband, son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. He enjoyed being with family and friends and will be missed by many.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, November 5, 2020 in the Leggett Cemetery with Bro. Denver Gillespie officiating.
