Bennie was the son of Bennie James Daniels Sr and Ida Mae McNorton Daniels. He was raised by his paternal grandparents, Charlie Daniels and Lilla Daniels. He was educated in the Dooly County School System and was a Class of 1967 graduate of Vienna High & Industrial School in Vienna, Georgia. He was employed with L&G Technology as a Master Technician. He later contracted as a Self Employed Truck Driver for Waukewa Transit. Bennie became a Jehovah's Witness in May of 1975.
He was married to Mary Ellen Felton Daniels. He was preceded in death by 4 Sisters; Carolyn McNorton, Deborah Daniels, Sansi Daniels Canty and Linda Hunt and 3 brothers; Russell McNorton, Ronnie Mott and Henry Daniels.
