Harold V. Reeves, age 88 of North Platte passed away October 31, 2020 at Great Plains Health.
Harold was born on May 28, 1932 at his parent’s home in North Platte to William and Henrietta (Greeley) Reeves.
He attended North Platte Public Schools, graduating in 1950. He was employed at Montgomery Wards and Cook’s Paint before being hired by the Union Pacific Railroad in 1951. He worked for the railroad 44 years before retiring. On November 2, 1990 he married Lois Fisher in North Platte, combining their families.
Harold enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, going out on his pontoon, hunting as a young boy, playing horseshoes, and loved ice cream.
Survivors include his wife, Lois of North Platte; children, Kathy (Joe) Marada of Woodland, CA, Jody Boron of North Platte, Judy Reeves of North Platte, and Danny Boron of Council Bluffs, IA; grandchildren, Karli (John) Hoffmeier of AZ, Sam, Nathan, Kyle Roos all of North Platte, Gage & Paige Musser, DJ Salisbury, Nina (Shaun) Cooper all of North Platte, Lana (Adam) Wolfe of Utah, Bree (Dennis) Hessel, Holly (Nathan) Snyder, and Karie (Lester) Sheets all of North Platte; brother, Merle Reeves of North Platte; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives.
Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Karla; son, Kenny; and six sisters.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2020 at The Rock Church with Pastor Vaughn Fahrenbruck officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
