She was born on Wednesday, May 5, 1926 in Martinsville, Indiana, to the late Ludavick “L.V.” and Lucy (Sink) Parker.
Mary was a graduate of Martinsville High School Class of 1944. She retired in 1988 from the Morgan County Health Department. She had been a member of the First Baptist Church in Martinsville, Kappa Sigma, the Morgan County Hospital Guild and a Past Matron of the O.E.S. #217 Martha Chapter. A few years after retirement, Mary, moved to Florida and spent several years there before moving back to the Avon area.
Survivors are her son, Tom O’Dell of Williams, Arizona; daughter, Pat Warner of Ft. Myers, Florida; grandchildren, Josh and Jon, Matt and Christie, Nathaniel, Laura and Hannah; eight great grandchildren; nephew, Jimmy K. Johnson.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace K. O’Dell, he passed away on April 13, 1986; a son, Michael W. O’Dell who passed away on March 13, 2019; and a sister Elizabeth M. “Betty” Johnson.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Costin Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
Burial will be at New South Park Cemetery in Martinsville.
