Jean Gilmore Hart, 89, also known as “Bambi”, passed away suddenly on October 28, 2020. Burial will be at Myrtle Cemetery.

Jean was born on March 13, 1931, in Ennis, Texas, along with her twin sister, Joann, to the late Clyde Carlton and Josie LaDean Gilmore. She graduated from Ennis High School in 1948 and attended Texas Women’s University.

In June of 1952, she married Donald Hart and they made their home in Ennis. Jean worked with him in his CPA firm for 23 years. She was active in the community while raising her children and later in various organizations including 20th Century Club, Ennis Regional Hospital, and her bridge groups. Jean was also active in her church, Church of Christ on Country Club Road.

She enjoyed cooking for and entertaining her family, reading, shopping, playing cards, and Chickenfoot, and visiting with friends and family. Above all, her greatest passion was making memories with her children, her grandchildren, and most recently with her precious great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hart in 1998; and her twin sister, Joann Gilmore Hart.

Survivors include her daughters: Cindy Harris and her husband, Lane, of Longview, Nancy Allen and her husband, Chuck, of Ennis, and Julie Kozlovsky and her husband, Gary, of Mesquite; grandchildren: Jess Harris and his wife, Emily, of Frisco, Lee Harris and his wife, Araceli, of Longview, Donald Allen and his wife, Ericka, Danny Allen and his wife, Kacey, and Dylan Allen and his wife, Erika, all of Waxahachie, Kyle Kozlovsky and his wife, Valerie, of San Antonio, and Kara Holland and her husband, Brett, of Prosper; 11 great-grandchildren; her nieces and nephew; cousin, Betty Hart; and many other extended family and friends.
