Tracy Stanton Smothers, age 58, passed away October 28, 2020 after a lengthy battle with lymphoma .
Tracy was born September 2, 1962 in Springfield, Tennessee where he graduated from Springfield High School, where he played football, golf, and wrestled. Smothers was the first person in Springfield High School history to go to the state championship in wrestling.

Tracy started his professional wrestling career in 1982 in the Memphis area. From there he moved on to Florida Championship Wrestling, World Championship Wrestling, Smoky Mountain Wrestling, USWA, IWA of Japan, ECW, WWF, Juggalo Championship Wrestling and TNA Wrestling.

He also wrestled for countless independent promotions across America including The Appalachian Wrestling Federation, Hardcore Championship Wrestling, Bad 2 The Bone Wrestling, Bluegrass Championship Wrestling and others.

But it was in Smoky Mountain Wrestling where Tracy achieved his greatest success, having captured the SMW Heavyweight Championship on two occassions.

Tracy was known for his willingness to help other professional wrestlers hone their trade and for his kindness to those in the business.

Graveside Funeral Services were conducted Monday, November 2, 2020 by the Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Zike officiating. Burial followed in the Camden City Cemetery in Camden, TN.Professional Wrestler. Best known for his longevity in professional wrestling. He got his break in Memphis's Continental Wrestling Association (CWA) promotion in late 1984, he stayed there full time until December of 1986. By the end of the 1980's, he made sporadic appearances for Mew Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), Continental Wrestling Federation (CWF) in Alabama, USWA & made his debut for World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1990. In his WCW tenure, he along with Steve Armstrong continued their tag team known as The Southern Boys & The Young Pistols, they won the WCW United States Tag Champions in 1991. His greater success came around in 1992 when he joined Jim Cornette's Smoky Mountain Wrestling (SMW) capturing the SMW Heavyweight title twice, a Beat The Champ TV champion 3 times & a 1 time SMW Tag Team Champion, thus becoming a triple crown winner in 1995. He also made a few tours for Giant Baba's All Japan Pro-Wrestling (AJPW) in 1993. When SMW folded, he joined the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) under the name of "Freddie Joe Floyd". After his WWF run was over, he wrestled for Paul Heyman's Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) and was a member of the Full Blooded Italians (FBI) with Little Guido Maritato & Tommy Rich, capturing the ECW Tag Champions in October of 1997. He continued his professional wrestling career until 2019, the year his last match took place.
