Graveside Services for Mr. Rodney West, age 63 of Ashland, were held on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Clay County Memory Gardens at 3:30 P.M.

Mr. West passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery. A lifelong resident of Clay County, Rodney graduated from Clay County High School with the class of 1975. He was a truck driver for many years and worked at Integrity Cabinets up until his recent illness. Rodney loved watching Auburn football games and Nascar races. He also enjoyed visiting casino’s with his sister Sandy, who was his casino buddy. He loved his dog, “Debo” and was a loving father, “Poppop” and brother who will be truly missed.

He is survived by one daughter, Cheyenne “Chey” West (Travis Byers); one granddaughter, Faith Byers; two sisters, Wanda Morris (Rodney) and Sandy Patterson (Bruce), all of Ashland; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mary (Frances) West; and his wife, Barbara West.

Active Pallbearers were: Kennan Hanner, Jamie Patterson, Kevin Foster, Jason Patterson, Dale Shaddix, Lee Johnson, Cody Patterson, and Austin Hanner.
