She's the Granddaughter of Urian Oakes, the fourth president of Harvard College

Daughter of Rev. Samuel Angier and Hannah Oakes

Wife of Rev. John Shaw (1708-1791).

Mother of Sarah (b.&d. 1735), Oakes (b. 1736-1807) entered the ministry in Barnstable, John (b. 1737-1747), Bezaliel (b. 1738) entered the ministry in Nantucket, Judith (b. 1740-1747), William (b. 1741-1816) entered the ministry in Marshfield, Eunice (b. 1743-1791), Ruth (b. 1744) married General Nathaniel Goodwin of Plymouth, Ezra (b. 1746-1764), John* (b.1748-1794) entered the ministry in Haverhill and married a sister of President Adams, and Samuel (b. 1750).

*was not an uncommon practice for a second child to be given the same first name of a previous deceased child.
