Elaine Olsen Dannenberg Moss, 89, died Friday, June 2, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Roosevelt, Utah.
She was born June 9, 1927, in St. Anthony, Idaho to James Ervin and Gladys Almina Allen Olsen. She married Alexander Bert Dannenberg on June, 29, 1957 in Whittier, California. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple, June 25, 1958. Bert passed away January 25, 1999. Elaine then married Clyde D. Moss, September 9, 2003. Clyde passed away June, 1, 2007.
Elaine grew up in Idaho. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints and went on a mission to the Southern States Mission. She went to California to work where she met Bert. After their 1st daughter was born they moved to Roosevelt, Utah. Here, their 2nd daughter was born. Elaine was involved in ceramics, scouting, and Socialette Club. They relocated to Meeker, Colorado and then to Quartzsite, Arizona, then Elaine moved back to Roosevelt.
Elaine is survived by her children: Jeanne Ruckman, Vernal; Sherri (Ivan) Stoddard, Roosevelt; 7 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, brothers, Milton and Donald Olsen, sisters, Bernice Yarber and Clara Friedman, and granddaughter Mandy Lou Uresk.
Graveside services will be held Monday, June 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rock Point Cemetery, 2260 W 2500 N, Vernal, Utah.
