Jo Ann Stoddart Moore was born on September 16, 1938 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Joseph S. and Lillie Mae (Frasure) Stoddart. Jo Ann passed away following a battle with Covid 19 at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot on October 26, 2020. Jo Ann was the middle of three girls, her sisters being Coral and Sheila.

Jo Ann married Roy Moore on September 17, 1956 in Boise, Idaho. They had five children, Don, Brenda, Larry, James and Kim. He passed away in May of 1989. Jo Ann then met Michael Petty and they have been loving companions for 31 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents and her two sons; Larry and James; and one great grandson, Nicholas.

She is survived by her companion, Mike of Chubbuck; her son Donald Moore of Blackfoot; her daughters Brenda Moore of Idaho Falls and Kimberly Moore of Blackfoot; two sisters, Coral (Wes) Broadie of Boise and Sheila (Tom) Lints of Kennewick, Washington; her aunt, Nancy Pendelbury of Blackfoot; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was an avid fisherwoman and hunter. Jo Ann loved camping and the outdoors. She would go with you hunting geese at-20 degrees or chase a mule deer from daylight until dark. Her favorite was fishing in Palisades Reservoir at Indian Creek. She loved to cook for people and had a total library of recipes. She loved to travel cross country from coast to coast in their van, living like gypsies. She liked to frequent a casino on occasions and play live keno. She loved country dancing. She loved to travel with her two sisters and her mom. They traveled to many destinations. One of the special trips was to Boston in 2002. She was always there to help in any way she could. She would put her life on hold to help others all the time. If there was a need, Jo Ann was there to lend a hand and give support. We all loved and cherished our time together and she was our family rock. We will miss her deeply.
