ETHEL R. HILLHOUSE

Funeral services for Ozark County native and lifelong resident Ethel Ray Hillhouse, 79 of Dugginsville were held Monday, Oct. 26, at Dugginsville Community Church, Rev. Oreal Sanders officiating.

Mrs. Hillhouse died of pneumonia Friday, Oct. 23, 1987 at Gainesville Health Care Center.

She was born Feb. 23, 1908 at Dugginsville, the daughter of John Bias and Amy M. Friend Bias. She was married Nov. 27, 1925 at Pontiac to Frank Hillhouse, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons, Harlin Hillhouse of Theodosia and Hervil Hillhouse of Mountain Home, Ark.; one daughter, Betty Jean Merriman of Dugginsville; one brother, J.R. Bias of Liberal, Mo.; two sisters, Myrtle Sears and Mary Crawford, both of Gainesville; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Interment was in Hart Cemetery under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home of Gainesville.
