Born in Brooklyn, NY, and raised in Essex Fells, N.J., Ms. Lewis lived in Caldwell and Verona for many years before moving to Montclair.
She was a graduate of the Kimberly School in Montclair and attended Pine Manor University in Massachusetts.
Ms. Lewis worked as a travel consultant for many years.
Ms. Lewis was a parishioner of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Essex Fells and a member of the Montclair Golf Club.
She is survived by her two children, Peter Clarke Lewis and Gail Dickerson; four nieces and nephews; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
