Mrs. Mattie Mae "Coot" Harris passed away on July 31, 2020. She was 101 years old and a lifelong resident of Pensacola.

Mattie was loving mother and grandmother giving love, support and guidance to all. She was a faithfully and diligent church member servicing in many positions at Norman AME and a proud Deaconess at Bethel AME churches. She was a regular attende of bible class at church and the home based group. She thoroughly enjoyed bible study, baking, gardening, sewing and was a awesome lifelong puzzle book solver.

Mattie was married to Mr. Hubert L. Harris and blessed with 5 beautiful children.

She was preceded in death by her daughters Nettie M. Lindsey and Drucilla Harris, sister Mary L. Webb, mother Bernice Thomas and husband Hubert L. Harris, Sr.

Her departing leaves beautiful memories in the hearts of her three sons Willie James (Bessie) Harris; Hubert (Phyllis) Harris and David Harris; brother Richard (Ruth) Thomas; granddaughter Deirdre (Sean) Blackmon; sister-in-law Mrs. Oga Mae Riley; three special ladies Lucille Montgomery, Mary Welch and Bobbie Randolph and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; great-great-great grandchildren, relatives and friends
