He was a microwave engineer for KSFM in Fort Smith. He was a member of the Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church in Van Buren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emmetta (Pixley) Hawkins; a daughter, Deletta Stem; both parents, George and Verda (Brown) Hawkins; a brother, Lonnie Hawkins.
He is survived by two daughter, Loretta Sinclair and husband, Mike, Gayla Blizzard and husband, Russell all of Van Buren; one son, Larry Stem and wife, Karen of Van Buren; one sister, Rita Roth and husband, John of League City, Texas; a brother, Mick Hawkins of Natural Dam; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral service will be at 2 PM Wednesday, November 4, 2020 Gracelawn Cemetery Arbor in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
