Mr. Jerry Ronald Hunt of Rowland was born on July 19, 1954 in Robeson County to the late Wilbert Hunt and Nancy Sweat Hunt and departed this life on October 29, 2020 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center completing his journey of 66 years.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers: Gilbert Hunt, Leonard Hunt, James Earl "Bit" Hunt, Glen "Bizzle" Hunt, Roger "Sunnyboy" Hunt, and Johnny Hunt; four sisters: Elizabeth "Lib" Carter, Nancy "Mambo" Mitchell, Wilma "Bill" Dial, and Doris Hunt.
The funeral will be Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. at Benson Chapel Baptist Church with the Revs: Earl Henderson and Jimmy Oxendine officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Hunt leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of twenty-five years: Vivian Hunt of the home; his children: April Hunt of Lumberton, Starlina Hunt of Florida, and Jerry R. Hunt Jr. of Florida; three step-children; two brothers: Wilbert Hunt (Tammy) of Maxton and Ricky Hunt if Greensboro; two sisters: Evet Henderson (Rev. Earl) of Aberdeen and Elaine Henderson (Benny) of Aberdeen; two special nieces; one special nephew; six grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 2-3 P.M. at Benson Chapel Baptist Church.
