Dennis Preston Griffin, 85, of Berea died Saturday, October 31, 2020 at U.K. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington. He was a Berea, Kentucky native born March 9, 1935, son of the late Golden and Annie Williams Griffin, U. S. Army veteran, and retired Automotive Repair Inspector for Albany Marine Corp Logistics in Albany, Georgia and resident of Berea for the past 25 years after retirement.
Dennis was a member of the Christian Faith and loved to hunt and fish in his spare time. He loved his family and will be sorely missed by them.
Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years Martha Cope Griffin; children, Sharon Lowry (Milton), Donna Himes (Scott), Dennis Griffin (Amanda), Scott Griffin; grandchildren, Lauren, Hunter, Brittany, Ashley, Dennis Jacob, Mikayla, Dustin Scott, Brooklynn Marie; great-grandchildren, Neeley, Alara, Grayson, Lily; as well as numerous relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 8 siblings, Brady Griffin, Elvie Griffin, Dee Griffin, Frances Mullins, Bessie McCollum, Manford Griffin, Carlos Griffin, Harlan Griffin.
