Bea married Richard “Dick” Newberry in 1951 and he passed away in 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother Raymond Light, and daughter-in-law Lori Newberry.
She is survived by her children, Lawrence Newberry of Springfield, Paul Newberry of Jacksonville, Lisa (Riley) Adams of Springfield, and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bea was a homemaker and enjoyed various activities including cooking, sewing, bowling, painting, shopping, and studying family history. She always had time for her family and always enjoyed a visit with anyone.
Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield, where a memorial visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 6, 2020 from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. A graveside memorial service will then follow at 11 am at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Cremation rites were accorded.
