Daughter of George and Ruby Abercrombie. She lived in Dawson County for the past 45 years having moved from Hall County. A homemaker at her death, along with her husband they owned and operated a farm. During her life, she was a foster mother to 84 children. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Brenda Sears, Annie Meredith; and brothers, David Abercrombie and Ricky Abercrombie. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, William "Jim" Ivey, Dawsonville; children, Rhonda and Dawson Whitmire, Dawsonville, Randy and Wanda Edwards, Dawsonville, Tracey Turner, Dahlonega; sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Charles Gardner, Dawsonville; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
