Anna Ruth Williams Wells, age 85, of Cleveland, Ark., passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020. She was born November 4, 1934, in Cleveland, Ark., a daughter of Thomas Williams and Rose Brents Williams. She was the widow of James Hamric Wells, and member of Cleveland Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, James "Punkin" (Belinda) Wells of Morrilton; daughter, Cherie (Keith) Brents of Cleveland; siblings, Virgie Sommers of Morrilton, Buck Williams of Pea Ridge, Shirley Massingill of Hattieville, Barbara Sue Stracner of Morrilton, Tommie Williams of Morrilton, Johnnie Williams of Morrilton, and Linda Campbell of Cleveland; seven grandchildren, Chris and Jeremy Wells, John Miller, Jaclyn Sanderson, Kristi Williams, Katie Hartman, and Strap Brents; sixteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Wells; two brothers, Brownie and Lowell Williams; and a sister Sally Durham.
