Shane Maney, 21, died Thursday, July 27, 2000.
A native of Hall County, Mr. Maney was the son of Ricky Maney and Kathy Gunter, and the stepson of Jerry Gunter, all of Alto, and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lake Fake and Lucille Maney. He was a machine operator with Schnadig Manufacturing.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Whitfield Funeral Home, Baldwin, with the Revs. Eugene Turner and Bill Trotter officiating. Burial will be in the Jones Family Cemetery, Clarkesville.
Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife, Becky Wade Maney; a daughter, Breanna Hope Maney, Alto; a son, Michael Anthony Maney, Alto; a sister, Melissa Maney, Alto; a brother, Corey Maney, Alto; maternal grandmother, Frankie Porter, Sardis; and maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Albert and Lois Franklin, Gainesville.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shane Maney Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 866, Baldwin, Ga. 30511.
